I'm doing it for cancer!
On 4th December 2022, after a courageous battle with uveal melanoma my beloved mother Victoria (Vicky) Mary Scragg sadly passed. A survivor of breast cancer, Mum continued to live her life to the fullest and I want to ensure her legacy lives on.
This year I'll be turning 40 years old and have a life goal of completing a marathon. On Sunday 5th July 2026 I'll be running the Gold Coast Marathon and want to raise funds for Cancer Council to help with the fight against cancer.
If the funds raised can help with the cure or prevention of cancer, so someone can "ring the bell" as a survivor, I know Mum would be proud. Her selflessness and bravery are the inspiration to get me active and across that finish line on the day.
