MCC Spinathon

I’m doing it for cancer!

Mandurah Catholic College community has been deeply affected by the devastating loss of several key members of our staff and student families, to various forms of cancer. Cancer will directly impact 1 in 2 people at some point in their life - with evidence indicating that this number is likely to continue to increase in the future. The staff have embarked on an endeavour to raise public awareness and much needed funds for research to find a cure for this insidious disease.

The staff at MCC have committed to an Inter-Department ‘Spin-Bike Challenge’ in Week 10, on 13th December, where each department will cycle as a team for a whole school day (6 hours straight), raising money through sponsorship and donations. Our target this year is to eclipse last years mamouth total of $17,130 and reach the $20,000 mark – a challenging amount!

We seek your support for this worthwhile cause through a donation of either funds or a prize, which would be used to garner further donations. In recognition of your support, acknowledgement of your generosity will be noted in a list of sponsors and supporters published by the College in event promotional material, circulated through the MCC community, and to the wider public through social networking and local media, including potential newspaper and radio coverage.

Should you be able to donate a prize, please contact Mr Richard Lacey via email Richard.lacey@cewa.edu.au

We thank you in advance for your consideration and support.
