Tweed Shire Council Goes Pink

By Tweed Shire Council - Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Help me create a cancer free future through the Power of Pink!

We are holding a Pink Ribbon fundraiser to change the lives of people affected by breast cancer.

Every day almost 50 women will hear those dreaded words “You have breast cancer.” While the survival rate has increased, our work is far from over.

Cancer never rests, and neither can we.

That’s why we are bringing everyone together - to raise funds to get us closer to a future free from breast cancer.  It’s the Power of Pink!

Council staff will be once again decorating bras to display in our office foyers for the month of October.  We will also be holding two community morning teas, one at our Murwillumbah Office on Thursday 1 November at 10am, where we will announce the winners of the bra competition, and another at our Tweed Heads Office on Friday 2 November, 10am.  Staff will be baking and dontating goods for the cakes stalls, and the community is invited to join us for a cupper and cake.

We would love you to join us and have your support!  Come along to our morning teas or donate today on this page.

By supporting our Pink Ribbon fundraiser, you will contribute to the work of Cancer Council. They work tirelessly across every area of cancer, from research to prevention and support.

Your support will be powering this vital work, making a difference to so many in their most vulnerable time, now and into the future.

Together we can uplift, guide and support those affected by breast cancer.

Together, we can create a future free of breast cancer.
