I’m doing it for cancer!

In September 2024 my wife Christine was diagnosed with Grade 3 Invasive breast cancer, she has just completed 5 months of chemotherapy which will be followed by more surgery, radiation and hormone therapy.  Having also recently lost a friend to cancer I am aware of the emotional and physical toll cancer takes on patients and their families.  I am challenging myself to support Cancer Council in their mission for a cancer free future.

Because 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, I’m raising funds to show my support. 

I'm organising a fundraising motorcycle ride for two and three wheel bikes to come and explore the back roads, and villages of the Southern Highlands and Tablelands. Starting at Pheasants Nest Servo ending at the Criterion Hotel, Crookwell for late lunch and drinks. The ride will be held on 20/09/25 . A map of the route will be supplied with rest stops, fuel stops etc.

Thank you all for the donations for cancer research.  It's research that will enhance many people's lives and get closer to a cure for all forms of cancer.
There are good days and bad days. Days of waking fine and ending the day exhausted. Even on a low day, Christine never gives up and sees the brighter side of life.
On 20 September, a motorcycle ride through the Southern Highlands, finishing at the Criterion Hotel in Crookwell should be a good to get out on the road, explore somewhere new, get the sun in your face and embrace life, 
Together we can make a change.
