Because 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, over the next few weeks I am challenging myself to do one push-up for every $2 raised to support Cancer Council's mission for a cancer-free future. Every dollar raised will help fund cancer research and provide vital services for Australians living with cancer. Please sponsor me to support this cause close to our hearts. We hope ‘Do It For Cancer’ becomes a project that is not only remembered for the funds we raise, but for the sense of belonging and purpose that we hope to cultivate within the student body and the positive difference we make in the lives of others. We envision ‘Do It For Cancer’ as leaving behind a meaningful legacy, one that has a genuine impact on those it supports and sets a strong example for future leadership teams to further establish as a Newman College Tradition.

I'm doing this for my Nanna. She’s currently battling kidney cancer having 6 tumours so all the money raised is for a worthy cause.
This challenge is my way of honouring her fight — and the fight of so many others like her. I want to do something that not only raises awareness but also contributes to real change, in the hope that one day, no one has to go through what she is going through.
