On Friday November 13, I’ll be taking part in my first-ever amateur boxing fight. To get there, I’m committing to 10 weeks of intense training - boxing sessions, fitness and conditioning, sore muscles and plenty of 'what am I doing' moments. But every time it gets hard, I want to remember why... Fighting for people who can’t fight for themselves. Cancer has a way of turning people's lives upside down. For those facing a diagnosis, and for the families and friends standing beside them, the fight is very real - and it isn't one they chose. So, I’m putting on the gloves, pushing myself physically and mentally, and hopefully raising some money and awareness for Cancer Council along the way. And yes… I’m fully expecting to get punched in the face at some point. But every time it gets hard, I want to remember why I’m doing it.

Fighting for people who can’t fight for themselves.

Cancer has a way of turning people's lives upside down.

For those facing a cancer diagnosis, and for the families and friends standing beside them, the fight is very real - and it isn't one they chose.
