Dog walk for cancer challenge
Tuesday 27th MayThis June, I’m trading my usual strolls for a serious mission (and probably a few unplanned swims in muddy puddles).
I’ve signed up for the Dog Walk for Cancer, raising funds for the Cancer Council — and I’ll be racking up the kms with the help of my furry, overexcited, occasionally chaotic four-legged coworkers.
The original challenge? 50km over the month.
But that felt a little too easy… so naturally, I’ve made it harder for myself.
? For every $1 donated, I’ll walk 1km.
That’s right — your dollars will literally move my feet. I may end up wobbling like a baby giraffe or waddling like a tired penguin, but hey — if the dogs are still going, I will be too.
Why am I doing this?
Because cancer sucks. It’s hit too close to home — family, friends, clients, even beloved pets. Almost 1 in 2 Aussies will be diagnosed in their lifetime, and that number’s way too high.
So I’m walking for the fighters, the survivors, the ones we’ve lost — and the hope that we can help change the story.
How you can get involved:
? Donate — every dollar adds another km to my total (and another reason for me to regret my life choices).
? Share this fundraiser — help me spread the word like a dog spreads drool.
? Book a walk or adventure for your pup with Dani's Dog Walking & Kitty Adventures - their playtime adds to my km count too!
Expect plenty of behind-the-scenes chaos throughout June — goofy dog faces, questionable weather decisions, and probably a few tangled leashes on Facebook. Because this isn’t just a walk — it’s a mission. One tail wag at a time.
Let’s do something amazing, one muddy paw print at a time ?
