Harry “Sub-Zero, Subsy” Prescott

Tuesday 5th Aug On Friday, 11 July 2025, while I was at Eastern Creek organising this event, Subsy passed away after an 18 month battle with cancer. Yet another fun-loving, happy, live life to the fullest, amazing human being taken way too soon. Harry was always doing something, building add-ons his and his mates houses… brewing his home brew which he had on tap after repurposing a fridge and a second-hand keg,  going to the tip and coming back with an even bigger load… Harry once took me to Broken Hills red golf course, and told me to watch for the birdies… in this case a 6 and a half foot emu in the middle of the fairway. I hate that I’m doing this for him now, instead of with him… but I’m definitely smiling for having known him. Thanks for reading this, and feel free to share your stories here. Share

The why

Saturday 28th Jun Like most people, I’ve been affected by cancer. I’ve lost an aunt, two grandparents and my mum to cancer. But, when I think about those wonderful people, I’m not sad. They were all immensely positive and fun loving people. My mum, Nerina, passed at 9:30 on New Years Eve 2015… just after the fireworks. I know she would be giggling her head off about going out with a bang! So in their honour, I choose to remember them by enjoying life and having some fun. So join me, have a bit of a laugh, and let’s raise some money to fight cancer while doing it… and so that fewer people have to deal with this horrible disease. Thank You! Share
