We are running for cancer!

My best friend Sophia and I are two young cancer survivors who know firsthand how cancer can change life in an instant.

This year, we’re taking on the Sydney Marathon together to raise funds for Cancer Council and to support the incredible work they do in cancer research, prevention and supporting people affected by cancer.
Cancer has touched almost every part of our lives. It challenged us physically, mentally and emotionally, and there were times when it felt like it took a lot of life from us. The journey was one of the hardest things we’ve ever faced, and it’s something that continues to shape who we are today.

That’s why completing this marathon is so important to us. Despite the hardships of cancer, we are incredibly grateful to not only be able to run 42.2km, but to have the opportunity to help those who are battling the disease we once did. Every step we run is for those who are currently fighting cancer, for those who have lost loved ones, and for everyone whose life has been changed by this disease.

We appreciate every single donation, no matter how little. By supporting our fundraiser, you’re helping The Cancer Council continue their vital work in research, prevention and support services. We hope that together, we can help create a future where fewer people have to endure what so many of us have experienced.
