I’m giving up my gifts!
This year, Avir is celebrating his 10th birthday in a way inspired by his favourite soccer player, Cristiano Ronaldo. While he loves soccer and dreams of following in Ronaldo's footsteps on the field, Avir also wants his birthday to be about making a positive difference.
Instead of receiving birthday presents, Avir has asked his family and friends to make a donation to the Cancer Council. He hopes that by giving back, he can help support people and families affected by cancer and show that even small acts of kindness can make a big impact.
His little sister, Avnoor, who is turning 6, has also chosen to give up birthday gifts. She believes every child deserves the chance to live a happy, healthy life and hopes that the donations raised will help children and families facing cancer during difficult times.
