Cleaning for cancer

I’m doing it for cancer!

Over the past few months, my dad, brother and I have experienced not only the challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis, but also the incredible compassion of the Cancer Council. Their kindness, encouragement and unwavering positivity. They have shown us that even in the most difficult moments, no one has to face cancer alone.

Throughout this journey, I’ve spent hours driving between Yeppoon and Rockhampton for my dads appointments. Along the way, I’ve watched rubbish slowly accumulate on the roadside, and each trip I’ve found myself thinking, someone should do something about that. So, I decided that someone could be me.

To give back, I’ll be cleaning up sections of the Yeppoon to Rockhampton highway while raising funds for the Cancer Council and the incredible work they do every day. It’s my way of saying thank you—not only by supporting a cause that has supported my family, but also by giving something back to the community that has been there for us.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps provide support to people and families facing cancer while also funding life-changing research.
