Walking for Cancer

Hi I am Lisa

My friend Izzy and I are walking the Larapinta Trail in 2020 in support of people affected by cancer.

I have worked as an oncology nurse at the Royal Hobart Hospital for over 10 years. It is a special privilege to work so closely with patients, their family and friends, who are experiencing the journey that is a cancer diagnosis.

I love the work, the patients, my colleagues, and I want to challenge myself give something back.

It looks like the Larapinta Trail will be a proper challenge!

I have had the chance to do some great walks over recent years, and Izzy has been there for most of them- the Three Capes Track with a bunch of oncology nurses, and walking the Coast to Coast in the UK were definitely highlights.

With your support, and our enthusiasm and energy, I hope to raise much needed funds for the Cancer Council, who do so much great work with people affected by cancer.
