Mel was a very special person. The Melissa Murdoch Burns Nursing Award at Perth Childrens Hospital was created in her honour.
Melissa was a dedicated burns nurse, mentor, and leader whose kindness, teamwork, and clinical excellence laft a lasting impact on the PVCH burns Service. She was passionate about burns care and committed to educating aand supporting colleagues, shaping both her teamand patient care.
To homnour her legacy, The Melissa Murdoch Burns Award will be established with the support of the Fiona Wood Foundation. This annual award recognises PCH nurses who reflect melissa's values- compassion, excellence in patient care, and commitment to burns nursing
