I’m doing it for cancer!
I’m challenging myself to shave my hair to support Cancer Council in their mission for a cancer free future!
Because 1 in 2 Australians (they are alarming statistics!) will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, I’m losing my locks to raise funds and show my support.
Why else am I doing this? I know so many friends and colleagues touched by cancer and, on a more personal note, my immediate family are currently faced with big challenges - my father (Darryl) passed in June this year with a brain tumour diagnosed 6 weeks earlier (Grade 4, Glioblastoma Multiforme Wildtype), my Mum (Brigitte) has been diagnosed earlier this year with Stage 3 Inflammatory Breast Cancer and my sister (Tammy) has Stage 4 EGFR Exon 19 deletion, non-smokers lung cancer.

Monday 10th Nov Well, what an incredible experience & feeling! The lovely Amy at Hairhouse at Riverlink (Ipswich) was great, kept me talking while she shaved away! Had beautiful family & friends there to support me & before I knew it, it was done!
