Cancer Council Queensland is L3 Micreo's Charity of Choice 2018

Following an internal company-wide vote, L3 Micreo has chosen Cancer Council QLD (CCQ) as its 2018 Charity of Choice.

This is a new initiative for Micreo, whereby staff nominate a number of charities to be put forward to an all-staff vote and the charity with the most votes is announced as the company’s Charity of Choice for the year. Throughout the year, employees will organise fundraising activities to raise as much money as possible for the charity, with the total being matched by the company at the end of the year to increase the final amount donated.

CCQ is Queensland’s leading independent, non-government organisation in cancer control. They raise funds dedicated to eliminating cancer and diminishing suffering from the disease through research, treatment, patient care, prevention and early detection, to increase survival and quality of life for those affected. Money received for CCQ is re-invested in Queensland across numerous programs and services and can be specifically invested in Brisbane projects such as accommodation lodges where cancer patients undergoing treatments and visiting families can stay, Transport to Treatment to take patients undergoing cancer treatment to hospital, and a telephone counselling service for those recently diagnosed.
