I’m doing it for cancer!
Hello! I'm fundraising for cancer research 🔬🧪and raising awareness by cutting my 50 centimetre locks for the first time in three years 💇🏻💇🏻💇🏻
If you have known me for over three years, you may remember the time when I donated my long hair for charity - the time has come again!
What started as a covid experiment to see what I would look like with long hair, has become something that I hope becomes a regular triennial occurrence to continue to raise awareness for both cancer research and people affected by it. Cancer continues to be the leading cause of death in Australia and affects almost all Australians in some way.
Last time I had grown my hair for 36 months - this time, it has grown for 39 months.
I will be donating my hair through the Sustainable Salons network, that repurposes the hair to make wigs for people who have lost their hair from cancer, alopecia or other medical conditions.
