Laps for Life Beyond Cancer
Hi Friends,
Did you know on average 463 Australians are diagnosed with cancer every day?* The tough reality is, many of us will resonate with this as much more than a statistic, having personally felt the impacts of cancer. This February, I'm diving in to try and make a difference, challenging myself to swim 28 km in 28 days. That's more than 500 laps of an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a few km shy of the English Channel and no mean feat for someone who hit their unremarkable athletic peak back in high school.
I ask you to please consider making a contribution to Cancer Council Queensland to support their vital work in cancer prevention, patient support services, and research. Every little bit will make a splash. To friends whose lives have been touched by cancer, please know I'm here if you ever need a friendly face to chat to or a definitively nonverbal catch-up at the pool.
