I’m doing it for cancer!

So I'm doing this thing 😊 I am having all my hair cut off and donating it. But I am also raising money for Cancer Council NSW. 

Most of us have been affected by cancer in some way in our lives. We have either been through it ourselves or we have had to watch a loved one go through it. Most of us have even lost someone we love to it. It is just an absolutely ugly disease. It doesn't discriminate against anyone. It doesn't care who you are, where you're from or how old you are. So I am doing my little bit to help people who are going through cancer. To me this is just hair, it'll grow back. But for the little girl who's battling cancer, or for the teenager that would rather be out with her friends making memories or for the Mum that just wants to see her babies grow up and constantly prays for just one more day....this hair will help to make a wig for someone. It will hopefully help to give back just a little bit of the confidence that they've lost. A wig might not sound like much to most people. But to a child who has lost their hair through this terrible disease, it would mean the world. 

And then there is the research that goes into cancer. It helps to make earlier detection possible, which means a greater survival rate. It helps to find more cures. It helps prolong the life of someone living with cancer, so that they get to make more memories with their loved ones.

And I'm not asking for you all to make huge donations. At the end of the day, everything all adds up to help make a difference in people's lives. I'm just asking that instead of that takeaway coffee you get of a morning on your way to work each day, maybe skip one....make it at home and donate that $5 that will end up making a bloody big difference to someone who truly deserves it. 

So please dig deep and help me raise funds for a cause that means a lot to me, as I'm sure it does to a lot of people. And keep smiling. And always remember.... everyday we get to wake up is a bonus. It's something that is denied to so many every single day ❤️

P S. So you all know. I am raising the money for Cancer Council NSW and my hair will be donated to another charity that they work in conjunction with called Kids with Cancer Wigs for Kids. This charity hand makes the wigs and custom fits them for kids who are battling cancer. They take around 40 hours to make each wig and cost the families absolutely nothing. So please dig deep and help me put a smile on the face of a child. They absolutely deserve it!!

You’d shine with or without mumma lele I had to watch my mum go through a lot, even now she has her days and it’s been almost 9yrs since the very start, been single mum the whole time and we still had scares+hills to climb throughout that time. She wouldn’t be alive today if she hadn’t fought with the doctors but she wouldn’t look at herself in the mirror if it weren’t for women like you 🩷
