For the Fighters - Past, Present and Future!
Wednesday 11th Jun Cancer has touched so many in my life, past and present. So, I have chosen to grow out my beard ( which is normally quite short) and dye in the the Pride "rainbow" colour, to symbolise both hope and diversity, a struggle each and every one faces on a daily basis. I will leave the beard on for as long as my sponsors may specify! You can even choose the final colours!!
A big shout out to those who are fighting this insidious disease at present. May peace and loving vibes fill your heart. Sending healing vibes also. Go and kick its a**s right back to where it came from!!
A big shout out to those we have lost in the past. Gone yet not forgotten. Forever young!
Firstly my late father, Brian Vernon Smith, my friend's mum Meghan, my best mates dad Wayne and in loving memory to two school friends taken far too soon. Forever in our hearts...
...to those who now face the challenges that cancer may present, rest assured, medicine has vastly improved over the years and recovery is now a matter of "when"... not "if".
So brave warriors... keep up the fight. We are all here for you. The fight may just be beginning, but the fight WILL be won.
Love always... Past, Present and Future!!
