I’m doing it for cancer!

Hello family, friends, stranger's that happen to stumble upon this page.

IT"S MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!! I'm Turning 25 this coming May, and I wanted to do something huuuuugggggggeeeeee, I was just going to throw a party with my friends make it a fun night, but I desired more something bigger, something different, something that mattered and would make a difference, something to make it memorable!... So naturally I've decided to shave my beloved long head of hair, for a good cause of course!!!!

Now for some background on why the BIG SHAVE, Me and my long locks have had a very intense relationship I've always been in love with my hair almost to the point it has become my identity, I've even been too scared to get just a simple trim in fear ill lose my length for good! For years it has grown longer and longer... and it's time for a change... a big one! 

Now why cancer, I'm a born and grown Aussie, and I love this country, but I have always been surrounded by cancer at first a lot of close calls and early catches in distant relatives and family friends. More recently my pop was taken by an aggressive cancer he didn't know he had until it was too late, it was around the covid pandemic time and he' was diagnosed and taken in such a short timeframe I never really got a chance to say goodbye, and something changed in me that day the world lost a little colour, everything got a little harder after some healing things started to look up I had moved in with my amazing partner moved to a new state things in my life were getting exciting!! then I got a phone call from my mother telling me she was diagnosed with you guessed it cancer and my doorstep was darkened once more with this dreaded illness; Luckly my mother was able to have it removed and is still here today and for that I am grateful and in awe of her strength. I have many friends who have become family, some have had cancer scares while others who have faced the battle and won, and I want to raise $2,500 to donate for them, My loved ones, for their honour, for their memory to do my part, to be brave, to stick it to cancer and fight in the war against it.

Because 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime and that's just not good enough.
