I’m giving up my gifts!
It’s been five birthdays without my mum, and I have dreaded this day every single year.
This year, as I step into a new decade of life, I’ve chosen to give up my gifts and instead support Cancer Council in their mission for a cancer-free future—in loving memory of my mum, who bravely battled cancer until the very end.
Cancer Council has been close to my heart for many years. I’ve volunteered, worked, and donated to this incredible organisation, and I’ve seen firsthand the impact they make. Every dollar raised helps fund life-saving research, prevention programs, and vital support services for families like mine.
I honour my mum’s strength and courage, and I stand with every person whose life has been touched by cancer. To those still fighting, I see you. To those who have lost someone, I am with you.
