I’m doing it for cancer!
Every year more than 169,000 Australians are diagnosed with cancer. In the 1990s, the survival rate was just 55%, but thanks to ongoing research and support, it has risen to 71% by 2020.
This year marks 10 years since I lost my father Ewan Stevenson to cancer in March 2015. It’s a disease that affects so many lives, and I wanted to do something to support those facing it. That’s why I have decided to shave my head; not only to raise money to support people with cancer, but to also donate my hair to be made into a wig to support people who have lost their hair due to their treatment.
By supporting this cause, you will be supporting research being supported by Cancer Council in not only understanding cancer, but also funding cancer prevention, treatment, and support. Every dollar raised through this will go towards giving hope for a cancer free future.
